This distinctly rickety bridge, the only one over the North Tyne between Bellingham and Chollerford, is subject to severe restrictions (3 tonnes, 2 metre width) http://www.northumberland.gov.uk/BB_News.asp?BB_Bulletin_ID=3671 The £4 million cost of replacing it means that any improvement is very much in the long term.
