On the corner of Astley Street is the Pineapple Inn Image It is somewhat dwarfed by Regent House an office block that now includes a Travelodge. Meanwhile Astley Street Image will shortly no longer be a dead end. A new bridge across the River Mersey will connect it to Chestergate.
