Lodge Road Image is characterised by many blackthorn bushes, which, in this November image, were full of sloes on bare branches. The nearby oaks, another notable tree species on this bridleway, were still full of leaves, many still green, as can be seen in the background here. Reports in the press suggest that higher levels of CO2 in the atmosphere allow trees to hold on to their leaves for longer.
