The pumping station at West Horsley, built to pump water from the chalk below, with a 40m well along with a 183m adit running eastwards and a 400m one running westwards. It is first shown on the 1896 1:2,500 map, and was operated by the Woking and District Water Company. On the right is the drinking trough in Image
