A late 17th century, and timber framed, house with an 18th century brick facing applied, and a rather more modern roof dormer window. Its doorway was originally to the left of the present one, which has been inserted where a window once was. The house was Grade II listed https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101246915-9-claremont-hill-shrewsbury#.XOkUn4hKjcs & https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1246915 in 1972.
