This memorial in Moston Cemetery is dedicated to the memory of Allen, Larkin and O'Brien, three Irishmen who were publicly hanged on the 23rd November, 1867 for the murder of Police Sergeant Brett during a successful attempt to free two Fenian prisoners being ferried between jail and court.
