The red brick building on the right is the original part of The University of Central Lancashire, and was named Victoria Jubilee Technical School, when it was built in the late 1800's, later when it was extended, Harris Institute, then College. Later Preston Polytechnic then Lancashire Polytechnic and finally The University of Central Lancashire.
