During the May Day holiday weekend, 4th-6th May 2019, the village of Slingsby in North Yorkshire held a Scarecrow Trail. Here is " The Scarecrow Who Came to Tea," an exhibit inspired by the book by Judith Kerr. This short story, though fifty years since first published, is still very popular. A TV adaptation will be shown on Channel 4 at Christmas 2019. Judith Kerr OBE has since passed away on 22nd May 2019, aged 95, in London.
