This plaque commemorating the opening of the Moss Side Fire Station has been rescued (in two pieces seemingly). The station was still there in 1972 - see https://www.flickr.com/photos/manchesterarchiveplus/5453399718/ - but has since been demolished. The plaque is on display inside the Fire Service Museum Image in Rochdale.
