Amongst the exhibits inside the Fire Service Museum Image is a horse-drawn steam fire engine, "George V" built by Shand, Mason & Co of London for the Skelmersdale Fire Brigade in 1910. It is in full working order and has appeared in several TV production including "The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes" and "Smokescreen".
