Cae Blaen-dyffryn is one of only two nature reserves owned by the plant conservation charity, Plantlife, in Wales. Although just a single field it is rich in wild plants and fungi as it has never seen the improvements that neighbouring fields have had. For this reason its also a Site of Special Scientific Interest. It contains four species of orchid including the largest UK population of the Lesser-butterfly Orchid. Access is difficult so do contact Plantlife if you want to visit.
