Sizewell is the site of two nuclear power stations. Sizewell A, officially opened on 7 April 1967, has two magnox reactors, it is now in the process of being decommissioned. Sizewell B has a single pressurised water reactor, it was built and commissioned between 1987 and 1995 and is the UK's newest nuclear power station. A third power station Sizewell C is planned. Projected completion and first generation date of Sizewell C could be in 2031.
