Droitwich Tunnel in Worcestershire

The eastern portal. This newly adapted sixty metre tunnel allows the Droitwich Junction Canal to cross under the M5. It was formerly the culvert which allowed the Body Brook flow under the motorway. The brook is now a minor feeder into the canal behind the camera, but can cause water levels to rise after heavy rain. Crews of some narrowboats with "stuff" on the top will need to pay close attention! ;-)
