Viewed from Angel Lane bridge. Gilfach Fargoed is a stop on the Rhymney Line of the Valley Lines network. Next station ahead is Bargoed. The short platforms (16 metres/52 feet) mean that passengers must alight from the front carriage of the train. The platform on the right is for trains to Penarth via Caerphilly and Cardiff Central.
