A surprise at Pentre Farm is a vintage letter box, which has lost its finial (probably a sign indicating the direction of a nearby post office). Not apparently in use, except for receiving mail, as it has no collection times. I was struck by the confusion of King Georges, but this was resolved by the Royal Mail using a G VI R cipher subsequently. It therefore belongs to George V, and its date lies in the period 1910-1936.
