At one time this area was a mass of railway sidings and the warehouse now stands close to the site where the Midland and Great Northern Junction railway line to Wisbech diverged to the left, then curved right to cross over the main line on a bridge. This line closed to passengers in 1959 and the whole area has since been redeveloped.
