Final year 6th form students got a rare opportunity to inspect the roof giving a fine view of the tower block at The Spinney approaching completion by Brims. See; http://www.towerblock.eca.ed.ac.uk/development/high-heaton The class rooms were frequently troubled by leaks from this roof! This picture before Heaton Grammar, boys, was merged with mirror image Heaton High, girls, and then Manor Park to become Heaton Manor. The old school buildings are long gone.
