Detail from Image], the latest piece of street art to appear in Manchester’s Northern Quarter which was unveiled on 5th April 2019 on the side of the Hare and Hounds pub in Shudehill. The mural was created by Manchester-based sportswear manufacturer Umbro which is celebrating its 95th anniversary this year with a brief to “celebrate the passion of a city and its shared love of the beautiful game”. It is made up of tweets from both United and City fans and it expresses what football means to them. The tweets were selected from hundreds of responses to the question “What does football mean to you?” which was posed by the company on Twitter. The mural is expected to remain on display until the end of April.
