The short grey frontage on the left is signed '1 Orchard Gardens' over the door. A map of 1989 labels Nos 2-5. They appear now to be two properties although the three dormers and the blocked-up windows strongly suggest three properties originally. While the round-topped windows echo those of No 1 (and others in the town), the absence of any architectural decoration prompts the question: is it of the same date as No 1 (post-war?) but scraped clean, or is it later: 1970s or 1980s pastiche?
