This building sure is its namesake; this could be the "throne" of the Black and White Village Trail! Built in the 16th century as a farmhouse and extended in the later 2 centuries, Andrew Thomas built this structure, and states the oldest part of this building dates back to 1478. The building actually got its name from the time when King Charles I stayed in this house on 5th September 1645 during the English Civil War. This building is now a private house, and this is also known as No. 1 Hereford Road.
