The Plume of Feathers public house in Station Road is by the Trent and Mersey Canal west of Barlaston and Tittensor Station. The place was a dump when I visited a few times 1990ish/2006-ish. Online reviews in recent times (post 2018 onwards) are very much more encouraging! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barlaston_railway_station
