Numbers 1 and 2 St John's Street are reputed to once have been estate cottages to the demolished Lechlade Manor. Number 1 is probably mid or late 18th century. Number 2 is probably late 17th or early 18th century. Listed, grade II, with details at: https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1341309 Lechlade on Thames was once a thriving inland port handling salt, wool and cheese. The town is now a popular venue for tourism and river-based activities.
