Better known as the Orbital Shopping Park, all the usual suspects are here. The park has 16 units totalling 212,000 square feet, 990 car parks and claims a footfall of 5 million per annum. A recent addition is this 5.5 metre sculpture by local artist Mike Pringle. Designed around the shape and size of a Spitfire wing and featuring the outline of an engineer and a pilot, the artwork celebrates the important role Swindon played manufacturing Spitfires during World War II and honours the people of Swindon whose skill and industry was so crucial in helping to win the Battle of Britain when the country stood alone against the Nazis.
