The erstwhile franchisee, Silverlink, has operated older rolling stock of classes 508 (as seen here) and 313 on this line. With the transfer of the line to TfL, new rolling stock has been ordered and this should be seen in early 2009. The new trains will be of class 378 and will be a considerable improvement on what is on offer at present. There will also be an increase of frequency, and it is not beyond the bounds of possibility that Bakerloo trains will also be re-extended to Watford Junction.
