Metal plate attached to stone post by the UC road (was A303), in parish of Stoke Trister (South Somerset District), by Milestone Cottage, centre of Bayford village, in a stone pavement, on North side of road. Wincanton iron plate, erected by the Wincanton turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- Wincanton 1 Hindon 13 Grade II listed.
