Carved stone post by the A30, in parish of Broughton (Test Valley District), London Cottage, on the verge, on South side of road. Hartford limestone diamond, erected by the Stockbridge & Basingstoke turnpike trust in the 18th century. Inscription reads:- : 74 / Miles to / LONDON : : 10 / to / Sarum : : 4 / Miles to / Stockbridge : Grade II listed.
