Cast iron post by the A61, in parish of South Stainley with Cayton (Harrogate District), Ripon Road, corner of Green Lane, near junction to Brearton, on new verge, on East side of road. Ingram iron casting, erected by the Harrogate, Hutton Moor & Ripon turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : HARROGATE / 5 / {arrow->} : : LEEDS / 20 : : RIPON / 6 / {<-arrow} : Maker:- : J INGRAM / MAKER / RIPON. : Grade II listed.
