Metal plate attached to stone post by the A360, in parish of Roundway (Kennet District), Devizes Road; 50m North of driveway to Woods; 200m North of Broadleas Gardens, in bank behind footpath, where East side footpath starts, on East side of road. Burt iron casting, erected by the Devizes (consolidated) turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : LAVINGTN / 5 : : SARUM / 23 : : DEVIZES / 1 : Maker:- : (BURT / DEVIZES) : Rivet benchmark on top; carved mark top left. Grade II listed.
