Carved stone post by the UC road, in parish of Montacute (South Somerset District), Gaundle House (Farm), Lower Town, North of A3088 bridge, in stone wall beside entrance drive, on West side of road. Erected by the Ilchester turnpike trust in the 18th century. Inscription reads:- Ilminster 4 Bath (?) Grade II listed.
