Carved stone post by the UC road (was A130), in parish of Rettendon (Chelmsford District), North East side of road. Erected by the Rawreth & Chelmsford turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : RAYLEIGH / 6 : : CHELMSFORD / 8 : Rivet benchmark on top. Grade II listed.
