The milestone is located near the junction with New Road, on the grassy bank by the Greyhound public house car park, on the East side of the road. Parish of Staple Fitzpaine (Taunton Deane District). Metal plate attached to stone post, Taunton old iron plate design, erected by the Taunton turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- 5 MILES To Taunton Grade II listed.
