Metal plate attached to stone post by the B1224, in parish of Long Marston (Harrogate District), Wetherby Road; 80m East of, and opposite entrance to 'Encore' envelope works, partly in slope of ditch, on South side of road. WR iron casting erected by the County Council in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : WETHERBY / 5½ MILES / COLLINGHAM / 7½ / LEEDS / 18 MILES : : COLLINGHAM & YORK / ROAD / LONG MARSTON : : YORK / 8 MILES : Hole in top. Grade II listed.
