Carved stone post by the UC road, in parish of Staines (Spelthorne District), Kingston Road, 6m West of Warwick Avenue, on North side of road against low brick wall. Erected by the Staines & Hampton turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription once read:- (STAINES 1) (KINGSTON BRIDGE 8) Carved benchmark lower front face. Milestone Society National ID: MX_STKB01
