Carved stone post by the B552, in parish of Hendon (Barnet District), Holders Hill Road NW4, by Oakdale Lodge Flats, 20m South of entrance to Hendon Cemetery, in pavement slabs, back to brick wall. Erected by General Post Office in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- VIII MILES FROM LONDON Carved benchmark on top face. Grade II listed.
