Carved stone post by the A682, in parish of Swinden (Craven District), near bridge over stream into River Ribble, on narrow verge, at bottom of hill by double white lines, on East side of road, against stone wall. Gisburn stone, erected by the Gisburne & Long Preston turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : To / Gisburn / (4 / Miles) : : To / Settle / (7 / Miles) : Carved benchmark ground off on top. Grade II listed.
