Cast iron post by the A1170, in parish of Great Amwell (East Hertfordshire District), Pepper Hill near junction with Gypsy Lane, on the verge, on West side of road. Ware casting, erected by the Cheshunt turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : WARE / 2 : : AMWELL / PARISH : : LONDON / 19 : Grade II listed.
