Carved stone post by the A2047 (was A3), in parish of Portsmouth (Portsmouth District), London Road, Hilsea, just North of Hilsea Market shops, on path, on West side of road. Erected by the Portsmouth & Sheet Bridge turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- TO PETERSFIELD 14 MILES Grade II listed.
