Metal plate detached from post by the A3052, in parish of Colyton (East Devon District), Colyford, on Swan Hill, opposite Memorial Hall, low down in wall, just above path, on North side of road. Lyme iron plate, erected by the Lyme Regis (Charmouth to Wimple) turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- EXETER 22 LYME 6 Devon & Dartmoor HER.
