Stone post (plate lost) by the A20, in parish of Wrotham (Tonbridge and Malling District), London Road, by Old Napicar Cottage, opposite Nepicar Oast House, South of The Mount PH, on overgrown bank with back to brick and wood boundary fence, on East side of road, behind armco barrier. Kent hipped iron plate, erected by the Wrotham & Maidstone turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription once read/reads:- : (Maidstone / 9) : : (London) / XXV : : (Wrotham / 1) : Rivet benchmark on top. Kent HER.
