Cast iron post by the B1052, in parish of Manningtree (Tendring District), Market Place, set in pavement, on South side of road. Bendall iron casting, erected by the Essex Second District turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : HARWICH / 9 : : MANNINGTREE / TO / LONDON / 60 : : COLCHESTER / 12 : Maker:- : BENDALL / IRON AND BRASS / FOUNDERS / PLOUGH AND MACHINE / MAKER / LAWFORD / ESSEX /1834 : Grade II listed.
