Carved stone post by the A595, in parish of Dalton Town with Newton (Barrow-in-Furness District), junction with the A590, on rocky grass verge, on West side of road. Lancs. CC stone triangle, erected by the County Council in the 19th/20th century. Inscription reads:- : DALTON 1 MILE / BARROW 4 MILES : : DALTON : : BROUGHTON 10¾ MILES : Milestone Society National ID: LA_DABR01
