Metal plate attached to stone post by the B4361 (was A49), in parish of Ludlow (South Shropshire District), Bromfield Road, opposite Ludlow School, by the road, on Northeast side of road. Ludlow Cross stone, erected by the Ludlow (first district) turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription once read:- (LUDLOW) (CROSS) (I) (Mile) Shropshire HER.
