Carved stone post by the A683, in parish of Caton with Littledale (Lancaster District), Claughton Road, 100m Northeast of Greenbanks, opposite wire fence beside old railway cutting, on cut grass verge beside low stone wall under an ash tree, on South side of road. Lancs. CC stone triangle, erected by the County Council in the 19th/20th century. Broken across base. Inscription reads:- : TO / LANCASTER / 6 MILES : : CATON : : TO / HORNBY / 3 MILES / KY LONSDALE / 10½ MILES / INGLETON / 12 MILES : Grade II listed.
