The milestone is located in Harley, Dike Hill, East of village, in banking under hedge, 50m East of Harley sign, near grate in gutter, on North side of road. Parish of Wentworth (Rotherham District). Carved stone post, erected by the Rotherham & Wentworth turnpike trust in the 18th century. Inscription reads:- (ROTHERHAM) 6 BARNSLEY 6 Milestone Society National ID: YS_RMBN06
