The rather spectacular, and well-kept, gates to the park were cast in Coalbrookdale at the famous foundry belonging to the Darby family, and presented to the Shrewsbury Horticultural Society in 1881. They were Grade II listed https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101059007-gates-to-the-quarry-shrewsbury#.XJfaMCj7TIU in 1972.
