A modern phone box, a dark brown bus shelter, a black plastic seat and the War Memorial. The memorial once stood in the now redundant churchyard of St. John's. It's Remembrance Sunday today and the scene is cheered a little by the poppy wreath. If ever a place needed cheering up a bit, it's this.
