Carved stone post by the A602, in parish of SACOMBE (EAST HERTFORDSHIRE District), Ware Road, opposite rear entrance to Woodhall Park, in hedgerow, on East side of road. Watton stone, erected by the Watton turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- 24 (To London) Carved benchmark and rivet on top. Grade II listed.
