Carved stone post by the B1539, in parish of GEDNEY (SOUTH HOLLAND District), Gedney Road, by No. 83, on the verge, on West side of road. Erected by the Holbeach turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : TO / HOLBEACH / 4 / MILES : : SPALDING / 12 / MILES / GEDNEY : : TO / LONG / SUTTON / 1 / MILE : Carved benchmark and rivet on top. Grade II listed.
