Carved stone post by the A49, in parish of ASHTON IN MAKERFIELD (WIGAN District), Wigan Road, South of Bryn, Ashton, 30m South of junction with Carnegie Drive, on pavement between War Memorial and No 114., on Northeast side of road. Erected by the Warrington & Wigan turnpike trust in the 19th century.
