Carved stone post by the UC road (was A337), in parish of NEW MILTON (NEW FOREST District), Lymington Road, Hooper's Hill, junction with Angel Lane, in dense hedge (window currently cut out), on East side of road. Lymington stone, erected by the Lymington, Lyndhurst & Rumbridge turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- CHRISTCHURCH 7 LYMINGTON 5 Milestone Society National ID: HA_LYCC05.
